These tools use Arelle, the leading open-source XBRL processor, to parse filings and extract structured financial data. Anything you upload is processed on Streamlit's servers and is not stored or shared.

XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) is the global standard for structured financial reporting. iXBRL (inline XBRL) embeds machine-readable tags directly into human-readable HTML reports. ESEF (European Single Electronic Format) mandates iXBRL for annual reports filed by EU and UK listed companies.

The Filings Index tool reads from the public filings.xbrl.org API, whose xBRL-JSON outputs are generated by Arelle. That index covers ESEF, UKSEF and Ukrainian filings only — for smaller UK companies, start from Companies House instead.
